Wind Farm Site Visit, Egni Launch and Twmpath barn dance, July 23rd:

We’d like to invite you to our event on Tuesday 23rd July.  All are welcome, not just existing Awel and Egni Coop members. And it’s free!

The Wind Farm Site Visit is from 4pm – 6pm and a coach will take you to the windfarm from Pontardawe Arts Centre. You can come to the Arts Centre from 3pm and have a cup of tea, welshcakes and chat.

Back at the Arts Centre at 6pm, we’ll have our AGMs for Egni and Awel Coops. See below for more info.

And then at 6.30 you’ll be able to have a full veggie/vegan buffet at the Arts Centre (free), the bar will be open, and we’ll have music by the fantastic Fiddlebox.

At 7, we’ll be launching Egni, our new solar rooftop share offer which aims to install up to 5MW across Wales by March 2020. We’ve already raised £400k towards our £750k target. Further information and our online investment form is available on www.egni.coop  One of our Directors, Rosie Gillam will give an introduction and directors will be there to answer questions.

For the AGMs, please find links to Draft 2018 Egni Accounts/Report and Awel Accounts and Report. Our Accountants, Bevan and Buckland, will be on hand to present the Awel Accounts.

At 7.30 pm, we’ll be having a Twmpath (Welsh barn dance) with Fiddlebox to celebrate the Egni launch. All levels of dancing are welcome and the bar will be open which always helps!
