Connecting Communities team making controls for inside the space capsule

A productive day with the Connecting Communities team. They made a set of amazing controls for inside the capsule.

I especially like this one which has a set of buttons for me to press according to my anxiety level.

It also corresponds well to the stages of responses to climate change. I’d say we are currently somewhere between Brain-freeze and Panic – though some world leaders are still at the No Problem stage.

Which brings me on to Greta Thunberg (my current heroine) – now integrated within the capsule. What a speech to the UN: “We are in the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money and fairy tales of eternal economic growth – how dare you!”. She brings hope. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/video/2019/sep/23/greta-thunberg-to-world-leaders-how-dare-you-you-have-stolen-my-dreams-and-my-childhood-video

Had a few other visitors today, including Paul Walker, Cultural Services Manager at NPT, and a couple of artists dropping off their contributions for the exhibition. Also, Denise who will be helping me to felt the (Welsh) sheepswool for inside the capsule. Ooh it’s going to be so comfy in there. If anyone would like to come and help felt, it would be good to have a few extra hands on Monday.

Looking forward to welcoming Man a Man a Mwnci tomorrow!
