We are looking for an experienced and motivated Solar Development Director to lead the development of Egni Co-op’s rooftop solar portfolio which is already the largest in the UK with 4.5MWp on 90 sites. Someone who is committed to accelerating Wales towards net zero carbon and championing the community energy sector’s role in doing this. The right candidate will hit the ground running to continue Egni Co-op’s record-breaking momentum by capitalising on existing relationships, nurturing new ones, and caring for the built portfolio.
Rosie Gillam, Egni Developer, said “This is a really exciting time to join us. Welsh Government has recently announced funding of £2.35m to Egni including a £990k grant. We’ve just installed solar on Llanmartin and Always Primary Schools in Newport and are currently assessing a further 1.5MW of sites across Wales. This new post will greatly add to our capacity. The salary is between £35-38k and the Job Description is here. We are very grateful that this post has been funded by the Third Sector Resilience Scheme for Wales, Phase 3 Scheme, administered by WCVA.”
Our Education Officer, Jen James, has also been very busy in schools. She’s developed a range of really exciting projects which the pupils have really enjoyed, including raps working with Mr Phormula, Ynni Da and Energy Sparks. This is Penyrheol Powers!
