Taith Co-op supports for vulnerable people in Neath Port Talbot, Swansea and Carmarthenshire – people with learning difficulties, disabled people, carers and the elderly. For example, we take people to hospital appointments, work placements, social activities and to college.
We work with organisations that work with those groups such as Jac Lewis Foundation, Your Voice Advocacy, Pontardawe Old Age, Vivian Park and Park Row Supported Living. One of the vehicles is a 7-seater and has a ramp for wheelchair access.
Since September 2022, we have supported 102 passengers who have made 1134 journeys travelling a total of 15,492 miles. This has saved over 1.4 tonnes of carbon emissions as we are using electric vehicles.
We are also looking to develop an electric vehicle car club as part of an all-Wales Lottery funded project through Trydani.

The value of the support that we have provided can be seen in this short video which was made by West Glamorgan Health Partnership about our work supporting Your Voice Advocacy and their work with people with learning difficulties.
