Very productive day at Mission HQ. Had some very willing helpers call in to help with the first layer of the capsule shell. It has to be robust for the capsule to withstand travelling at 200,000 miles an hour, so I’m hoping to coat it with at least 4 layers of papier-mache.
Suzette calls up to deliver a few sacks of newspapers. She also comes up with a very slick way of doing papier-mache with a paintbrush.
Sian and Theo pop in to see what’s going on and spend half a day with me – very skilled papier-macheists.
And here is the capsule in its underwear!
